Fundraising Tips

Thank you very much for fundraising for Broken Rainbow UK, your support is very important to us! Raising funds can be challenging, so here is some advice to help you!

  • Inform people around you: friends, family, colleagues, friends of friends... The more people will know, the more likely you are to get funds!
  • The cause you are supporting: explain who you are raising funds for and why you chose this charity. There is a misconception that domestic violence does not occur in a same-sex relationship, whereas 1 in 4 LGBT people experience domestic violence! Broken Rainbow UK runs the only National LGBT Domestic Violence Helpline providing confidential support to all members of the LGBT Communities, their family & friends, and agencies supporting them. More information about Broken Rainbow UK.
  • Advertise your event: create a Facebook page (please do contact us should you wish for us to advertise your page through our Facebook network), contact the local media, write a press release...
  • Create your fundraising page: just register on Everyclick, choose Broken Rainbow as your charity, and create your page!
  • Find sponsors: contact local shops, sports retailers, gyms and sports clubs...

And of course Broken Rainbow UK will support you as much as possible throughout the way!
